Tevez putting ghost of legend del Piero to rest

Carlos Tevez lived up to his nickname of 'Apache' so well this season that he is set to be the first Juventus player to finish the Serie A top scorer since Alessandro del Piero in 2008.

Juventus's all-round dominance in Italy's top flight was key to its fourth consecutive scudetto, but the influence of the 31-year-old Argentine has been felt throughout the club and not just thanks to his 20 goals.

"Tevez is an extraordinary striker," said Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri.
