Guizhou plans green IT growth

Guizhou province believes the development of its information technology industry will be a new driver of progress in one of the least-developed regions in the country. "Guizhou is less developed, but also less polluted. We have chosen the information technology industry, a clean industry, as our pillar industry. We will never walk the old route of paying for development with pollution," said Guizhou Party chief Zhao Kezhi. Wang Wei, an NPC deputy from Guizhou and head of Longmaster Information & Technology Co Ltd, said that he was thrilled when Premier Li Keqiang's report mentioned at the meeting the concept of "Internet+", or the integration of Internet technology and traditional industry.
