A courier has won superstar fame since he rang the New York Stock Exchange bell on behalf of e-commerce titan Alibaba Group. He tells Deng Zhangyu he hopes to employ his celebrity to expand his charity work.

Courier Dou Liguo instantly became perhaps China's best-known deliveryman when he rang the New York Stock Exchange bell last September as a representative of the country's e-commerce giant Alibaba Group.

Dou and seven other ordinary people were invited to the event by Alibaba's CEO Ma Yunaka Jack Ma. Ma became Asia's richest person following his company's initial public offering - the biggest in history.
