New center to focus on children's health and safety
A center for promoting health and safety knowledge among primary and middle school students has been launched in Guangzhou.
The first of its kind in China, the 300-square-meter facility is a joint venture project between the China Children and Teenagers' Fund and The Wrigley Company Foundation, and will focus on subjects such as road and fire safety, natural disaster survival, first aid and dental health.
Located in the Guangzhou Children's Activities Center, it has multimedia and interactive facilities and its staff include volunteers from the US confectionery giant Wrigley who will coach visitors. The two partners are planning to establish a second center in Shanghai.
