Record amount seized in anti-graft operation at residence in Beijing
Anti-graft officials confiscated currencies worth more than 200 million yuan ($32 million) from the house of a former energy official, a senior official at the Supreme People's Procuratorate said on Friday.
Wei Pengyuan, 56, was deputy director of the National Energy Administration's coal department from 2008 to May. He was in charge of coal infrastructure and projects approval.
