Mok takes brief break from music to rejuvenate

In her first two decades as a singer and actress, Karen Mok has built a resume that many would envy: collaborating with A-list actors, including Jackie Chan and Keanu Reeves, and winning such accolades for singing as Taiwan's Golden Melody Award.

The 42-year-old Hong Kong star, however, has decided to take a short break in a bid to rejuvenate herself.

After touring 25 cities across the mainland this year to celebrate her 20 years in show business, Mok bid a temporary farewell to more than 2,000 fans at a concert at the Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall in Taipei on Sept 27.
