Robust year of German language and culture

On May 26 last year, Chinese Premier Li Keqiang and German Chancellor Angela Merkel officially launched "German-Chinese Language Year" in Berlin.

It was well received by the Chinese audience, reflecting an increased interest in Germany and the German language in China.

The Goethe-Institut China that promotes German culture and language organized a variety of events in the year that followed, highlighting educational and cultural ties between the two nations.
