Senior official to escort first lady

Cho Yoon-sun, the Republic of Korea's senior presidential secretary for political affairs, will escort first lady Peng Liyuan during President Xi Jinping's state visit to the ROK, Korea Times reported.

Citing diplomatic sources on Tuesday, the newspaper said Cho will accompany Peng during parts of her schedule in Seoul as an "honorary protocol host".

Xi is scheduled to arrive in the ROK on Thursday for a two-day state visit to attend a summit with ROK President Park Geun-hye. Xi will also give a lecture at Seoul National University on Friday.
