Electronics firm powers down for Earth Hour

In conjunction with the global Earth Hour campaign, all Canon operations as well as the company's advertising signs turned off their lighting from 8:30 pm to 9:30 pm on March 23.

During the hour, Canon camera users were encouraged to take pictures in the dark and share them on the Canon micro blog and the company's charity photo blog.

The company, in conjunction with some social media, held the activity to call on more people to participate in environmental protection and energy conservation.
