BEIJING - China said on Friday that no case of E coli (EHEC) has been reported in the country and the risk of an outbreak in China remains low.

Deng Haihua, a spokesman for the Ministry of Health, said at a regular press conference that China had a relatively low chance of an outbreak of EHEC, a food-borne bacteria, because the country imported only a limited amount of fresh vegetables from the affected European countries.
