Trilateral summit to focus on joint disaster efforts
BEIJING - The leaders of China and the Republic of Korea (ROK) are expected to join their Japanese counterparts on Saturday in Tokyo for the 4th trilateral leaders' meeting.
The two-day summit, during which a joint statement will be issued and concrete joint agreements will be adopted, will enhance cooperation between Asia's three leading economies, which will be conducive to regional cooperation and development, observers said.
Experts also said the meeting, held amid the host country's woes from the March 11 earthquake and nuclear crisis, will help improve the relationship between Japan and its neighbors.
