FIFA probes members in corruption allegations
Provisional measures will be considered after scandal hits
ZURICH - World football's governing body FIFA said on Monday that it was investigating member associations as well as senior officials over allegations of votes being sold in the 2018 World Cup bidding race.
FIFA said in a statement that it had "opened proceedings against two members of the FIFA Executive Committee to ascertain whether they have violated the FIFA Code of Ethics", and will consider "provisional measures" if necessary.
