India PM promises to rescue Delhi Games

Oscar Pistorius of South Africa runs the last bend ofthe men's 400m T44 final race during the Diamond League meeting at Crystal Palace in London on Saturday. Pistorius ran a new world record for the category in a time of 45.07 seconds. However, he still remained outside the cut for a berth as an able-bodied athlete at October's Commonwealth Games. NEW DELHI - India's prime minister promised a successful Delhi Commonwealth Games on Sunday, a day after he intervened to rescue the troubled event that has been beset by delays and allegations of corruption.
