Shanghai promises to host the best Worlds

SHANGHAI - Organizers here have vowed to host the biggest and best FINA World Championships next year.

"Now all the relevant work is running smoothly and we are confident that the 14th staging of the event in Shanghai will be most successful in its history," said Chen Yiping, deputy director of Shanghai Sports Bureau.

The 16-day swimming event, which will begin on July 16, will be the biggest single competition the city has ever held.
