Prysmian China: World player, Chinese company

Prysmian is a leading player in the industry of high-tech cables and system for energy and telecommunications. As truly global business with more than 3.7 million in sales in 2009 and strong position in higher value-added market segments, it boasts a global presents with subsidiaries in 39 countries, 56 plants in 24 countries, 7 R&D centers in Europe, the US and South America. It is now eyeing the rich resources and big market in China.

Despite its global roots, Paolo Bazzoni, CEO of the Prysmian China, is keen to emphasize that he does not consider Prysmian as a foreign company located in China, but a localized company contributing to the Chinese economy with advanced technology.

As an Italian public company with a big presence in China, where it has six companies and over 1,000 employees, Prysmian was presented with a "China Award" for "Best Italian technology in China" in 2009.
