DPRK signals willingness to cooperate

The Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) said on Friday it is ready to cooperate with Washington to resolve issues on the Korean Peninsula.

"Both sides agreed to continue to cooperate with each other in the future to narrow the remaining differences," a foreign ministry spokesman said in a statement published by the DPRK's official Korean Central News Agency.

The DPRK spokesman said: "Through working and frank discussion, the two sides deepened the mutual understanding and narrowed their differences."
