'Killer' drunk driver on trial

A drunk driver who killed five people and injured four in Nanjing, Jiangsu province, stood trial on Friday on charges of endangering public security, which carries a maximum penalty of death. Zhang Mingbao, 44, who heads a real estate company in Nanjing, has become the target of public anger since the evening of June 30, when he knocked down the nine victims.

The Nanjing Intermediate People's Court didn't pass a verdict on Friday.
