Liu's best form to come next year, says coach

GUANGZHOU: China's former Olympic and world champion hurdler Liu Xiang has staged a strong comeback from a severe foot injury by clinching two wins and one runners-up position in the three races that he participated in recently.

With these remarkable achievements behind him, his coach Sun Haiping said he is expecting the star hurdler to regain his best form next year.

"Next year, if he can fully recover from his foot injury, Liu will be sure to regain his peak form," Sun said on Thursday after Liu won his third Asian Championships title in southern China's Guangzhou city. "As for his result during that time, I believe it will be around 13.00 seconds."
