Gang sentenced for extortion

Members of a gang who collected protection fees from exhibition center vendors have been sent to jail, Chaoyang district court said yesterday.
The court released the verdict, issued on Sept 25, to the public yesterday.
It said the gang's head, Li Yanqi, was convicted of extortion and sentenced to eight years.
