Deadly drunken driver to be sentenced

Drunken driver Sun Weiming will learn today whether the high court of Sichuan province will uphold a death sentence handed to him for the deaths of four people.

The 30-year-old's appeal comes nearly nine months after he killed four people and injured five others after his car plowed into four sedans in Chengdu on Dec 14.

Zhang Zhiyu and Jin Yuhang, whose parents were killed by Sun, said they cannot forgive the former company executive, but they could accept a stay of execution or a life sentence.
