Bekele vows to keep on running

China Daily | Updated: 2009-08-19 08:06

BERLIN: Newly-crowned four-time 10,000m world champion Kenenisa Bekele has vowed, doubtless much to the chagrin of his rivals, to keep on running.

Bekele's medal haul from the Olympic Games, Worlds and world cross-country championships is quite phenomenal, and the reigning Olympic champion and world record holder over the 5,000m and 10,000m again looked unbeatable at the Olympic Stadium while winning the 10,000m title here on Monday.

His history speaks for itself, now with 15 world titles and three Olympic golds. He has been the fastest in the world over 5,000m every year since 2004 and is unbeaten in the 10,000m.
