3 Sichuan village officials jailed for graft

CHENGDU: Three village officials in Sichuan province have been sentenced to seven years each for taking bribes from earthquake victims who applied for a State subsidy, a local court said yesterday.

The Santai county court said Jinya village Party chief Zuo Duyuan, village committee chief An Xinwu and village accountant Yi Deyin pleaded guilty and were sentenced last Monday.
