Scroll to mark quake anniversary

A huge horizontal scroll, nearly 200 m wide and 2.5 m high, is now on display at the Beijing World Art Museum.

Jointly created by teachers and students from the China Fresco Institute of the Central Academy of Fine Arts, it gives a panoramic view of the Sichuan earthquake that struck a year ago, and the rescue and relief works.

Many celebrated artists, including Deng Shu, Sun Jingbo, Dai Shihe and Du Wencheng, contributed to it.
