WASHINGTON: The United States has a positive view of the recent military exchanges between China and the US and hopes such exchanges will continue, a US official said on Wednesday.
The official's remarks come after signs of increasing military-to-military exchanges. For instance, Chinese and American military officials held the annual Defense Policy Coordination Talks in Beijing on Feb 27-28.
"I view as positive that we and the Chinese have agreed to resume our military-to-military exchanges," David Sedney, deputy assistant secretary of defense for East Asia, said during a testimony before the US-China Economic and Security Review Commission.
