By Maggie Lee | China Daily | Updated: 2008-11-14 07:53

ATLANTA: A venerable group of Chinese soldiers is currently in the American city of Atlanta on a peaceful mission to showcase their country's history, art and culture.

The largest loan to the US of complete warriors from the Qinshihuang terracotta army has arrived at Atlanta's High Museum of Art and is already proving popular, according to museum director Michael Shapiro.

"We have more than 90,000 ticket reservations, which is a record for us," he said ahead of the exhibition's opening.
