Denmark demands China probe 'spy' case

By Chen Xiangfeng | China Daily | Updated: 2007-09-15 07:30

WUHAN: Denmark women's soccer team has asked local police to investigate possible spying after FIFA opted against taking any action on Thursday.

The Danes said they discovered a team's "tactical" meeting in the Wuhan hotel where they were staying during the 2007 Women's World Cup, was secretly taped. They then reported the case to FIFA and asked for an investigation.

"We have called police and we will file a report until they notify us what they have found out," Pia Schou Nielson, Denmark team's spokeswoman, told China Daily on Friday.
