The Guangzhou Ocean Aquarium has introduced seven paradise threadfin fish, a rare species that are usually found in tropical to subtropical waters, from the west coast of India to Thailand and Malaysia.

The silver-gray marine fish, in the lit up golden fish tanks, wowed many visitors, the local Information Times reported.

With a number of long, thread-like fins, the fish have been named "the thousand-handed Kwan-yin".

Each of the fish is worth more than one thousand yuan, the newspaper quoted an aquarium staff member as saying.
