From Italy(That's Shanhai)
Updated: 2007-11-16 10:14 Italian scampi, much like Norwegian lobster and French langoustine, has long been considered a popular delicacy in the West. On the other hand, crawfish, xiao long xia-shrimp, a member of the same crustacean family, is one of China's most ubiquitous dishes. But for those who cringe at the idea of eating xiao long xia at a dingy local restaurant, this venue is an excellent alternative. The scampi fried rice (RMB 38) was cooked to perfection; the scampi was moist and the rice was well-textured. Equally mouth-watering was the wok-fried laksa scampi (RMB 52 for 750 g), bathed in a spicy coconut sauce. With its reasonable prices, casual, relaxed atmosphere and balance of Eastern and Western menu options, Scampi delivers a winning combination. Scampi |
