A little high

A Li'l High is, well, li'l... arguably the li'lest on Sanlitun. As for the "high" suffix, anyone hoping for the kind offered by some of Amsterdam's-ahem-"tea bars" will be more than a li'l disappointed.

However, if you're simply after a gin and tonic (RMB 25) then that's another matter. It's worth mentioning that, like its Pure Girl neighbors, the bar has a tendency towards hip-hop, reflected in its drink menu (brandies ranging from RMB 20 a glass to RMB 400 a bottle), and by acoustics reminiscent of Vics. With a maximum capacity of 40 souls, A Li'l High boasts an "intimate"chilled-out atmosphere-and the proprietors have happily felt the need for a novel UV light in the back room.

With a daily RMB 45 all-you-can-drink special (10pm-1am) and the promise of real ale coming soon, A Li'l High perhaps warrants a li'l of your time.

A Li'l High
