A rival to KFC(That's Shanghai)

Sadly, not much. We were disappointed to discover that the slickly-advertised crispy burrito (RMB 11) was smaller than our cell phones. And the traditional chicken (RMB 16 for two pieces) was just that: a tried-and-true take on the greasy and modestly-seasoned fast-food classic. Not surprisingly, then, our mashed potatoes (RMB 5) bore a striking similarity to the Colonel's, both in appearance, flavor and texture. In short, Pollo Campero isn't worth a detour, but if you're low on funds, hungry and within clucking distance, then do stop in. Just remember, you'll get what you pay for. Pollo Campero |
