Have a quick feed(That's Beijing)Updated: 2007-03-19 10:48 Lucky Box presents itself as a jack-of-all-trades establishment, serving everything from salads to spaghetti, chicken wings to cappuccinos, Sol to spirits. With such a varied and affordable menu (dishes averaging RMB 20), Lucky Box could just as easily be categorized as a restaurant, but the venue's strengths lie in its understated decor and unpretentious drink list (Tsingtaos for RMB 10 and a relatively well-made mojito costs RMB 30). Furthermore, Lucky Box's close proximity to a number of residential complexes and the hubbub of Sanlitun make it a good place to have a quick feed and a few beers before heading into town. Shisha pipes are also available for RMB 35, drawing inevitable comparisons to Souk - a poor man's Souk, perhaps, but at least Lucky Box proves a little money can go a long way.
