Gold is all the rage these days. There's nothing more beautiful than skin that looks like it's glowing from within. A touch of gold is a fresh way to achieve this gorgeous look.

To ring in the new year, Bobbi Brown has released its New Year Gold Look for women who wants to dress up their look with subtle gold shades on eyes featuring a deep liner and spun gold lips with a bit of shimmer.

The first step toward beautiful makeup application is clean, well-hydrated skin. Bobbie Brown makeup artist Jacky Qian teaches step-by-step how to make sure that your face looks its best in this New Year makeover in just minutes.

"Bobbi's Vitamin Enriched Face Base is the ideal moisturizer to prepare all skin types for a smooth, flawless makeup application," Qian said. "It should be followed with Hydrating Eye Cream under the eyes to prepare skin for the smoothest application of concealer."

Qian said it was better to apply lightweight, moisturizing Protective Face Lotion SPF 15 all over the facial skin afterwards as it helped against the damaging rays of the sun.

"Now that your skin is prepared you can move onto the Concealer," Qian said. "For extra dark circles, start with a Corrector. Pat lightly under eyes and then follow with a Creamy Concealer kit."

After the concealer, apply your foundation in a formula that is suited to your skin's needs. To create a better look, Qian suggested using the Foundation Stick which is easy to apply and blend all over the face or just where you need it. For a flawless finish, set with a light dusting of Sheer Finish Pressed Powder.

Next comes the cheek make-up. Dust the Apricot Blush on cheeks with the Blush Brush. For eyebrow makeup, apply Mahogany or Rich Brown Eye Shadow with the Eye Brow Brush. The color of the eyebrow should always go with the hair color.

Eye make-up is the important part of this New Year look. Apply Eye Shadow Bone from your lashline to browbone using the Eye Shadow Brush. Next, apply Pale Gold Shimmer Eye Shadow on your lash line and crease with your hand. Give your eyes added definition with the Gold Shimmer Wash Eye Shadow applied in the crease of your eyelid with the Eye Shadow Brush.

"Next, use the star product Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner (Espresso Ink) with the Ultra Fine Eye Liner Brush in an easy dip-and-stroke action to smudge a heavy line along the upper lash line with a little extra to the top outer corners," said Qian. "The color is long-wearing and water-resistant. Finish with the black or brown No- Smudge Mascara to define, curls and lengthens lashes without smudging, clumping or flaking."

For the lips, apply the comfortable, non-greasy Lip Balm SPF 15 first; this immediately goes to work comforting and protecting. Then add Sunlight SPF 15 Lip Shine to update your look with a bit of shimmer.

To finish the look, use Bobbi's Apricot Shimmer Brick Compact to highlight your facial contours. The peach and ivory pure pearl pigments in this mirrored compact creates a soft, peachy glow.
