French director Luc Besson will visit Beijing and Shanghai this week for the Chinese premiere of his latest movie "Arthur and the Minimoys."

He will stay in Beijing until Wednesday and Shanghai until Friday for several premieres and press conferences.

The movie is an adaptation of his best selling novel "Arthur and the Minimoys." It is a family adventure about a boy who, after his grandfather disappears, sets out to save his family home from real estate developers.

"Arthur and the Minimoys" which stars Mia Farrow and Freddie Highmore, and features the voices of Madonna, David Bowie, Robert De Niro, and Snoop Dog has been a success in Europe since its release in France in December and was released in North American cinemas last Friday.

It has taken Luc Besson 4 years to make and will go on general release in China on Friday.
