former Vogue Australia stylist and a French lawyer have created the cutest
little lifestyle boutique on a leafy corner of Yongfu Lu. Platane, French for'plane
tree', stocks a beautifully edited selection of home gear, from elegant Chinese
porcelain, imported French candles and children's toys to snappy luxe travel
guides and 'Juicy Bear's Egyptian-cotton Tees. "We want people to come in for a
bowl and go home with a book and a t-shirt because they love it all," says
co-owner Sandra Shmith.
