The piece heralds the return of the Qixi Festival, also known as Chinese Valentine's Day, which falls at the end of the month. It reflects Chinese people's traditional understanding of the value of marriage, which is sweetness, happiness and love.

According to the Chinese calendar, there are two Qixi Festivals in 2006.
