Serve the People

Taiwan singer Gao Mingjun |
"Serve the people" is what Chairman Mao told us to do, but the restaurant serves Thai food and hangs Thai king's portrait on its wall. Located inside the embassy area, the restaurant is well known to foreign expats' circle. Service is good, and food is purely Thai. There is a big outdoor area. Average spending per person is 150 yuan (US$18.75).
Feedback varies. Some diners recommend this restaurant, but others say it is just so-so.
The pawpaw salad is refreshing, but those who dislike the sour taste might try the mango salad, or seafood starch salad. Sour and spicy raw prawns, prawn curry and wasabi chicken are some other interesting dishes. |
