Amici: Italian cuisine(That's Shanghai)
Updated: 2006-05-24 11:16
As you'd expect from a five-star facility, service is smart, if not yet sharp. Despite being the only patrons, we had to wait to be seated, and even after ordering, our appetizer took an age to arrive. Once it did though, we thoroughly enjoyed the big servings of buffala mozzarella in the insalata caprese (RMB 80) and the plentiful Italian antipasto (RMB 90). Then, after another period in limbo, the mains arrived. However, the delicious red snapper (RMB 150) and impressive Amici pizza (RMB 90) were worth the wait. While currently not the best place for a fast business lunch, you'll enjoy Amici if you have time to spare. As any Mafia Don might tell you, "Slow service? Hey, forgettaboutit!"
