Ten Shang: worth your wait(That's Shanghai)
Updated: 2006-05-19 11:33 They say that patience is a virtue. Ours was worn thin trying to find Ten Shang, but once we did, the environment soothed our savage breast. Upstairs, the vast space is punctuated with glass-encased, miniature forests of bamboo, while the dining area features hardwood floors and cool stone divides. Our prime sirloin set menu (RMB 168, including two appetizers and a bowl of rice) was served in an elegant, gold-plated hotpot and even the crockery exudes good taste. Granted, our crab meat and fish salads (RMB 28 each) were less than tasty, but the sesame cakes (RMB 26) were near perfect. The food here might be one jewel short of a crown, but you’ll be hard-pressed to find a classier hotpot restaurant in this city. Ten Shang |
