2. Decor Pillows
This shop boasts two labels: Giovani and Sienna.
Giovani's
European-influence designs are certainly luxurious: pillows come in suede fabric
with tassels, lip cords and/or brushes (RMB 600-1,300); you can even find an
elegant floral-patterned rug (RMB 1,800-1,900) on which to place your pillows if
you favor the Arabian Nights look.
Sienna's cushions (RMB 2,000-5,000)
are the ne plus ultra of sophistication with handcrafted beads, amber, and
elements of leather and fur. But the real indulgence here comes in the form of a
faux leopard-print fur box (RMB 850), a one-of-a-kind
must-have.

3. Cotton
No, this is not another branch of the famously friendly bar. Rather,
it's a home furnishings shop with reasonably-priced items, including, quite
naturally, goods made from 100 per cent cotton fabric.
There's a wide range of styles, such as the classic Chinese red and gold xi
designs, which are said to provide 'double happiness'. [Note that queen, or
king-size (RMB 298/398) sets, include quilt covers, sheets and pillowcases]. The
young at heart will like the Winnie the Pooh or Tigger covers (RMB 108) and
sheets (RMB 78). Matching pajamas optional.

4. Maoming
A bright new addition to Shanghai's expat design scene, Maoming
specializes in blankets, throws and shawls, but here the classics come with a
twist.
Fake fur blankets, in a heady array of textures and sizes, are backed with
brightly colored silks in Chinese patterns-from double fish to double happiness
to pagoda pastorals (RMB 1,500). Super-luxe throws are made of heavenly cashmere
and backed in silk in contrasting and complimentary colors with mink pompoms
dotting the edges (RMB 2,800).
Maoming also offers oversize cashmere knit scarves in a range of delicious
colors with diaphanous silk linings in an eclectic and bright selection of
patterns (RMB 1,200).
