Lisa Ono returns

What's on

Hailed as a musical 'Chicken Soup for the Soul', Lisa Ono's music is tranquil and melodic in nature. It helps the listener to unwind and de-stress. She seems to be a favorite with shopping malls and coffee bars, although she does not perform in Beijing all too often.

Born in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Lisa Ono exhibited a great degree of musical talent when she started singing and playing the guitar at 15. In 1989 she debuted as a professional Bossa Nova singer and quickly rose to be a prima donna in that genre in the last 20 years.

With her new albums, Cheek to Cheek and Look to the Rainbow, Lisa Ono returns after her first Beijing concert a year ago. She promises to sing her iconic Bossa Nova classics, exposing the audience to her interpretation of Rio Style and Classic American Jazz. She will also sing some Chinese numbers, which are being kept secret.
