BEIJING - Epidemic prevention work is going well in the quake-hit Yushu, northwest China's Qinghai Province, as medical staff and disease control experts intensified their efforts to remove epidemic risks, a Chinese health official said here on Friday.

According to Liang, more than 6,600 tents in the quake area had been disinfected, and food and water quality secured in most part of the quake zone.
Liang said the disease control experts in the quake zone would focus on searching and environmently-friendly disposals of the dead livestock and other animals.
