Hu meets SCO member leaders

On the sidelines of the annual SCO summit in Yekaterin-burg, President Hu Jintao has met separately with his Tajik, Kyrgyz and Pakistani counterparts. During talks with Kyrgyz President, Kurmanbek Bakiyev, Hu Jintao said that fruitful achievements have been reached in economic, investment, transportation and agricultural cooperation between the two sides. While meeting with Tajik President Emomali Rakhmon, both leaders discussed consolidation of their friendship, and the expansion of pragmatic cooperation. Rakhmon said his country is willing to enhance agricultural, mining and financial cooperation. During the meeting with his Pakistani counterpart, Asif Ali Zardari, President Hu reviewed the traditional friendship with Pakistan, and said China is willing to promote economic cooperation, and provide support for anti-terrorism and resettling Pakistani refugees. Zadari said the Pakistani government is willing to further cooperate with China on anti-terrorism so as to maintain regional peace and stability. Source: CCTV.com
