Bulgarian VP congratulates China on achievements

SOFIA - Bulgarian Vice-President Angel Marin on Monday congratulated China on its achievements scored under the leadership of the Communist Party of China (CPC).

Marin told a visiting delegation of Chinese journalists on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of CPC that although Bulgaria is far from China, the two nations together have celebrated this anniversary.

Marin underlined that over the past 90 years, CPC has contributed much to the China's development, and under the CPC's leadership the life of Chinese people becomes better and better.

On the international scene, China is becoming an important force with great influence, Marin said.

Marin added that many members of his team have visited China, and he personally visited China last year where he saw many great achievements of China, spoke to many Chinese friends from different sectors and achieved his goal to deepen relationship with China.

Marin also said he hopes Chinese journalists would contribute to the understanding between the Bulgarian and Chinese people.

The meeting was also attended by the Chinese ambassador to Bulgaria Guo Yezhou.

The delegation, led by Zhu Qian, head of the section of All-China Journalists Association in Xinjiang Uyghur autonomous region of China, arrived in Bulgaria on Wednesday.

A native of Le Zhi, in Southwest China's Sichuan Province, and awarded by the People's Republic of China the military rank of marshal; Served as the country's Vice Premier (1954-1972) and Foreign Minister (1958-1972)
