The Communist Party of China (CPC) and the Chinese government would like to work together with Indonesian partners to build a harmonious Asia and world, said Li Yuanchao, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, on Monday.
Visiting Li, who is also a secretary of the CPC Central Committee Secretariat and head of the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee, made the remarks in a speech at the Indonesian political party reception here on Monday evening.
With a topic of jointly writing a new chapter of China- Indonesia mutual beneficial cooperation, Li highly appreciated the development of China-Indonesia relationship, and the achievements of Indonesia in the state building and its positive role in dealing with international and regional affairs.
Li said the CPC and the Chinese government have dedicated themselves to the strengthening of the strategic partnership between China and Indonesia and are willing to keep improving bilateral friendly exchanges in different levels, deepen pragmatic cooperation and enhance communication and coordination in international and regional affairs with Indonesia.
Li introduced China's development and CPC's build-up and said that CPC is willing to increase exchanges and share experiences with political parties in Indonesia on the basis of the CPC's four principles guiding its inter-party relations with foreign parties, namely, independence, complete equality, mutual respect and non- interference in each other's internal affairs.
The speech was warmly welcomed by the around 80 leaders of Indonesia's major political parties, think tank scholars and journalists attending the reception.
The Indonesian party leaders said that they would like to strive with CPC for deepening pragmatic exchange and cooperation between the two countries and parties, so as to push forward the China-Indonesia strategic partnership.
