The Communist Party of China (CPC) will host the Second China-Europe High-Level Political Party Forum in Beijing and Tianjin from May 16 to 18, said an official of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee.
Huang Huaguang, spokesman of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, said the theme of the forum is China's 12th Five-Year Program and European 2020 strategy -- new opportunities and prospects in China-Europe cooperation.
The forum aims to help the two sides exchange development concepts, goals and policies through in-depth dialogues, as well as allow the two sides to fully explore new opportunities and methods for cooperation, said Huang.
The forum also aims to promote advancement in China-Europe strategic dialogues and cooperation and infuse new energy into the development of their comprehensive strategic partnership.
According to Huang, several regional parties of Europe, major political party groups in the European Parliament and leaders and representatives from major political parties in some European countries will attend the forum.
Zhu De, born in Yilong County of Sichuan Province in 1886 and passed away in 1976, is a great Marxist, proletarian revolutionary, statesman and military strategist.
A native of Le Zhi, in Southwest China's Sichuan Province, and awarded by the People's Republic of China the military rank of marshal; Served as the country's Vice Premier (1954-1972) and Foreign Minister (1958-1972)
