Entrusted by the CPC Central Committee, Deng Xiaoping describes the "four fundamental principles" of modern China: to maintain Socialist doctrine, uphold the dictatorship of the proletariat, uphold the leadership of the Communist Party and uphold the Thought of Marxism-Leninism and Mao Zedong.
