Jan 26, 1925: The Chinese Socialist Youth League holds the Third National Congress in Shanghai
The Third National Congress of the Chinese Socialist Youth league mobilized all league members to implement the Resolution of the Fourth CPC National Congress. The resolution called for actively developing young students' movements and to rename the Socialist Youth League the Communist Youth League. The congress elected the Executive Committee of the League Central Committee, with Zhang Tailei as general secretary and Ren Bishi as acting secretary.

On Jan 26, 1952, the CPC Central Committee issued "instructions on carrying out the 'Five-Anti' struggle, initially in large and medium-sizes cities". The instructions required large and medium-size cities in the country to carry out campaigns aimed at illegal capitalists and bribery, against tax evasion, against the theft of state property, against shoddy work and against the theft of financial information. The "Five-Anti" campaign ended in October 1952.
