Trainees at work: Creating jade sculptures in Hainan

A trainee works on a jade sculpture at a museum in Changjiang, Hainan province, Nov 14, 2017. As one of the measures to lift people out of poverty, the local government provides free training for people on how to make jade sculptures. Thirty trainees were recruited last year, and this year 60 people were hired. Each learner could also get 600 yuan per month as subsidy. [Photo/]
