7 teenagers missing after swimming in East China river
NANCHANG -- One teenager was rescued and seven went missing Tuesday after swimming in a river in eastern China's Jiangxi province.
Local police were informed around 1:50 pm that a number of people were drowning in a river near an expressway bridge in Jinxian county. The police rescued one teenager from the water, local authorities said.
Investigation shows there were eight teenagers swimming, and seven are still missing.
A team of over 200 people are looking for the missing teenagers.
