8 trapped in N China coal mine cave-in
TAIYUAN - Eight miners were trapped after a coal mine collapsed in north China's coal-rich Shanxi Province Tuesday morning, local authorities said.
The cave-in happened around 10:45 a.m. at a coal mine of China National Coal Group Corp. in Shuozhou City. The mine has a production capacity of 900,000 tonnes per year.
The rescue work is under way.
